This winter’s cleanup event will take place on the 9th of March 2024 and will be a 5km clean-up walk. The event will start at 10:00 am and end at 12:00 pm. The event welcomes participants from all ages and is family-friendly. Participants will be provided with gloves and trash bags to collect waste from the first 2.5 km of the wadi, and then they will walk back to the main gate. Once participants are done, they will get to play fun games for participation prizes.
All revenue from this event will be used in the development of Wadi Degla Protectorate facilities. Please be aware that a trail running race will be happening at the same time as the cleanup event, so please be mindful and allow space on the trail for runners to pass.
