Start time

The 55KM race of Roody 50X will commence at 6:00 am on October 24, 2026, offering a full day of adventure and challenge for seasoned trail runners.

Cut-off time

Participants are allowed 11 hours to complete the course, requiring strategic pacing, endurance, and resilience. This extended time frame ensures that advanced runners can approach the race methodically, allowing for steady progress while managing energy levels effectively

Checkpoints

Checkpoints (CPs) will be available along each race route to support the runners and to provide water. All participants must enter each checkpoint. It’s at these checkpoints that Ultra Ibex will be made aware of any runner who needs help or assistance.

Elevation gain

The 55KM race features an elevation gain of +1,000 meters, making it a true test of strength and stamina. This elevation also introduces a variety of ascents and descents, rewarding runners with breathtaking views and a profound sense of accomplishment upon completion.

Location

Roody 50X 2026 Edition takes place at Wadi Degla Protectorate. Runners will access the race venue, and the race starts through the Wadi Degla Protectorate Main Gate in Zahraa El Maadi. This is the exact location of the gate.

Terrain

Complementing the difficulty of the elevation, Roody 50X’s terrain features 70% hard dirt trails and 30% sandy and rocky areas. The uneven terrain will present exciting challenges with a versatile trail running competition for all.
